MUNCIE, Ind. — The 2019 season of Indiana high school girls tennis finished up over the weekend, and once again East Central Indiana fell short of having a team, individual or doubles pair claim a state championship.
But that doesn’t mean some didn’t come close to holding that trophy. And it doesn’t mean the area didn’t showcase the talent that graced its courts.
One team reached the state quarterfinals. A doubles pair made the state semifinals. More won sectional titles and a number of athletes earned all-conference and all-state recognition. Here are three takeaways from the 2019 season of ECI girls tennis.
