MUNCIE, Ind. — Speaking with someone Tuesday morning, Ball State softball coach Lacy Wood said she predicted she’d sleep well Thursday night.
There’s been so much stress in past months, not knowing how the 2021 season may play out after having the 2020 season canceled part of the way through due to the pandemic. Even in January, Wood didn’t fully know what BSU’s season would look like. But on Friday, the Cardinals’ season is scheduled to begin against DePaul in a tournament in Illinois.
Wood described it as surreal and exciting, the first game being so close.
