MUNCIE, Ind. — Delta came to play Wednesday night.
The 2022 Delaware County boys basketball tournament tipped off Wednesday at Delta High School, with the Eagles (5-7) beating Daleville (6-3) 66-52. Cowan withdrew from the tournament because of COVID-19 contact tracing quarantines, so there was only one game played in the first round.
Delta will face Wes-Del (6-5) at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, and Yorktown (4-5), advancing by default because of Cowan's absence, will play Wapahani (9-2) in the second contest.
