MUNCIE, Ind. — The only first round game of the 2021 Delaware County boys basketball tournament featured the two largest schools in the bracket: Delta and Yorktown.
The two met earlier in the season at Yorktown and the Eagles won that game by 15 points. Wednesday night, however, the Tigers flipped the script and won 56-42.
With the victory, Yorktown advances to Friday's county semifinal at Cowan. The other semifinal will feature Wes-Del at Wapahani. Wes-Del automatically advanced after Daleville was forced to withdraw due to COVID-19 quarantine.

For the first time in nearly five years and after nine straight defeats against its cross-county rival, Yorktown (7-4) beat Delta (5-3).
