Tagliani, ex pole winner, to drive Indy for Foyt

INDIANAPOLIS -- A.J. Foyt has hired Alex Tagliani as his third driver for this year's Indianapolis 500.

The 41-year-old Canadian won the Indy pole in 2011 and finished the race 13th last year, driving for Sarah Fisher's team. That was his last IndyCar start.

Foyt now has Tagliani, Japan's Takuma Sato and England's Jack Hawksworth all trying to make the 33-car starting grid for the May 24 race.
