Nissan dominate Winton Supercars practice

A dramatic week for Nissan off the track has failed to distract their Supercars drivers on it.

Nissan pair Michael Caruso and Rick Kelly went one-two in Friday's second practice for the Winton Supersprint.

Sitting 17th and 13th respectively in the championship standings, they blitzed the Victorian circuit to edge out the frontrunners.

Brad Jones Racing's Nick Percat was the highest-placed driver in the championship (11th) to challenge the Nissan duo in his Holden Commodore.

Nissan called time on their backing of the Kelly Racing team, announcing on Tuesday their intentions to withdraw support from the end of this season.
