Lewis Hamilton inspired to Spanish GP win by message from terminally ill fan

BARCELONA, Spain -- Lewis Hamilton has dedicated his Spanish Grand Prix victory to a terminally ill fan who sent him a message ahead of the race.

Hamilton reclaimed the lead of the F1 championship in Barcelona, beating teammate Valtteri Bottas into Turn 1 and controlling the race from that point on. On Sunday morning he shared a video message sent to him by a five-year-old fan named Harry Shaw, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in August last year.

The reigning world champion's post said: "Harry, you don't know how much this message means to me buddy.
