Former Haas driver Esteban Gutierrez secures full-time Formula E drive

Former Haas driver Esteban Gutierrez will contest the remainder of the Formula E season with the Techeetah team.

Gutierrez lost his seat to Kevin Magnussen after a scoreless 2016 and failed to secure another drive in F1 ahead of the new campaign. In January he announced he would compete at the Mexico City ePrix, albeit without confirming which team it would be for.

The Mexican driver's plans were revealed on Monday -- he will drive the remaining nine races for the Techeetah team, where he replace Ma Qing Hua and partner fellow Formula One alumni Jean-Eric Vergne.
