Formula One has offered the first glimpse of the next generation of race car ahead of the sweeping regulation change slated for 2021.
Images leaked on social media earlier this week showing a 2021 concept, a car featuring bigger wheels, a more simplified front wing and bodywork. F1 hopes the new cars improve overtaking by making each car easier to follow -- a fundamental ingredient for wheel-to-wheel racing.
The images were first shown earlier this week before a full presentation to the media on Friday.
