F1 drivers react to Sebastian Vettel-Lewis Hamilton clash, FIA decision

SPIELBERG, Austria -- Thursday's media day for the Austrian Grand Prix was dominated by one topic -- Sebastian Vettel's clash with Lewis Hamilton in Baku and the subsequent fallout.

In the biggest flashpoint of the season so far, Vettel moved alongside his title rival ahead of the second Safety Car restart, waved his right hand and drove into Hamilton's Mercedes, angry at what he felt had been an intentional brake-check. Data later cleared Hamilton and the Baku race stewards handed Vettel a 10-second stop-go penalty in the race, as well as three points on his superlicence.

The FIA decided to look into the incident after the race but cleared Vettel of further punishment on Monday after a meeting in Paris in which the four-time world champion apologised and took full responsibility for what had happened.
