Esteban Ocon hopes results like Spa qualifying secures future

SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium -- Esteban Ocon hopes performances like his qualifying lap at the Belgian Grand Prix are enough to secure his Formula One future.

Ocon qualified third at Spa-Francorchamps as wet conditions levelled the playing field in the top ten shootout at Spa-Francorchamps. Combined with Force India teammate Sergio Perez qualifying fourth, the result represents one of the feel-good stories of the year, coming just a matter of weeks after the team was saved from administration.

However, the recent change in ownership has also cast doubt over Ocon's future as new owner Lawrence Stroll looks set to move his son Lance from Williams to the team.
