Dale Earnhardt Jr. will donate brain for concussion research

Dale Earnhardt Jr. plans to donate his brain for research on concussions, he Tweeted on Saturday.

The 41-year-old made the statement while responding to a fan that said the plan of three former Oakland Raiders players to donate their brains “sounds like a big commitment.”

Earnhardt had retweeted a story from Sports Illustrated early in the day about the former Raiders.
