Christian Horner: Red Bull needs 0.5s to catch Ferrari, Mercedes

Christian Horner believes Red Bull is closer to Ferrari and Mercedes than the Australian Grand Prix suggested and says the team only needs to find 0.5s to make 2017 a three-way fight.

Many expected Red Bull to be the team to beat under the new regulations, which shifted focus back towards aerodynamics, but the Melbourne opener seemed to confirm it is currently between the lead pair and the tight midfield battle. Max Verstappen qualified and finished fifth, though he closed up to Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen in the closing stages.

"To be honest I don't think we're that far behind," Horner said.
