Audi claims provisional pole at Bathurst

The Audi Sport team leads the way at the Bathurst 12 Hour with Kevin van der Linde continuing the form of Frederic Vervisch at Mount Panorama.

Van der Linde, who is teaming up with Garth Tander and Vervisch in the Audi R8, took provisional pole for this afternoon's top 10 shootout with a lap that stood for much of qualifying.

The team has been at the top of the timesheets throughout the event with Vervisch posting the fastest Friday practice time in the history of the event.

Supercars driver Chaz Mostert put BMW second behind Van der Linde with Austria's Phillip Eng in third in the BMW he is driving with Supercars co-driver Steven Richards and ex-Formula One pilot Timo Glock.
