Wiley’s Breakout Performance is Difference in Beating Bama

“I really wanted to beat them,” Auburn freshman Austin Wiley said after he led the Tigers in crushing Alabama 84-64 in the Iron Bowl of Basketball. “We played a great game today.”

The son of Auburn Basketball legends grew up a Tiger dreaming of the day he could wear the orange and blue. His father, Aubrey, led the SEC in rebounding in 1993-94 and his mother Vickie Orr was an All-American in 1992.

Although he has only been on the Plains two months, he’s already making his presence felt. The 6′ 11″ Wiley has become the Tigers floor general; running the floor, rebounding, blocking shots, and scoring inside.
