AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn’s hitting surge comes at an ideal time, in the midst of what the Tigers hope will be a third straight Women’s College World Series appearance.
The Tigers belted 16 hits—scoring seven runs in the first two innings—in Sunday’s 8-2 NCAA Regional-clinching victory over California, earning Auburn’s third consecutive Super Regional berth.
“This is one of the top games that I’ve been a part of this season,” catcher Carlee Wallace said. “It’s just so fun to see everyone’s hard work show and to see everyone be successful at some point during the game.
