Wake up the echoes, because Auburn is finally going to play Notre Dame on the football field.
On Wednesday, Pete Thamel reported that the two historic programs will meet in 2027 and 2028, with the first game scheduled to take place at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend. The Fighting Irish will then travel to the Plains and battle in Jordan-Hare Stadium the following season.
Auburn athletics made the announcement official.
