Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson could miss the SEC Championship Game with a shoulder issue suffered against Alabama. Gus Malzahn said as much when asked about Johnson’s shoulder injury Sunday.
“I’m not for sure if he’s going to be able to practice tonight or not,” Malzahn said. “We’ll see. I think we’ll check on him daily and see what his status is. Right now it’s really hard to say.”
Auburn offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey said later on Sunday that Johnson was able to particiapte in the practice. Lindsey was non-committal when asked directly if Johnson would play Saturday, saying only that he hoped so.
