AUBURN, Ala. – Junior Allie Michaud defeated teammate Andie Dikosavljevic, 6-2, 6-4 to win the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Singles Championship on Monday and earns a birth into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
“I am very proud of Allie and Andie for their performance at the ITA Regional Championships,” Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer said. “They both played at such a high level and the intensity and focus was excellent. To be able to come away with our fifth Regional Championship in five years is something we are very proud of.
