Auburn opened up the spring season with a scoreless tie against South Alabama at the Auburn Soccer Complex. Auburn out-shot South Alabama, 21-16, but shots on goal were tied at nine apiece. Auburn created quality chances throughout the match, the best opportunity coming from Taylor Troutman in the 68th minute when she hit the crossbar off a cross from Charlotte Van Ishoven. Defensively Sarah Le beau and Alyse Scott combined for the shutout in net.
