SAN ANTONIO – Freshman Kayley Marschke recorded her best round as an Auburn women’s golfer, helping the Tigers equal their low round of the season Monday in the second round of the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational.
Marschke recorded six birdies en route to a 3-under-par 69 to move into a tie for sixth place in the individual standings at 2-under. She bettered her previous low round by two strokes, her previous best coming in the final round at the Pinehurst Challenge two weeks ago. After opening with a bogey, Marschke made three birdies on the front nine to make the turn at 2-under, then carded three birdies along with two bogeys on the back for her low round of the year.
