Veronica Eder punches ticket to NCAA Outdoor Championships

AUBURN, Ala. – Senior distance runner Veronica Eder punched her ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships after finishing second in the women’s 10,000 meters on Thursday at the NCAA Preliminaries in Lexington, Ky. Eder becomes the first female runner to advance to the NCAA Championships since 1997.

“I thought we had a really good day today,” Auburn head coach Ralph Spry said. “Veronica has been running well for us all year, so it’s good go see her make it through. I also thought that we advance some key people in key events today as well.
