AUBURN, Ala. – Two months ago, four Auburn players declared early for the NBA draft. It was a major accomplishment for a basketball program that is coming off a season in which it won its first SEC championship since 1999. It was also a sign of what Bruce Pearl has been able to build in the four years he’s been head coach.
For fans, though, there was concern. As impressive as this past season was, there was hope that Tigers could reach greater heights the following season – if everybody came back.
