Each year, the Maxwell Award is awarded to the outstanding player in college football, and this year, two Auburn football players have been named to the watchlist released by the Maxwell Football Club on Monday.

Junior quarterback Jackson Arnold and sophomore wide receiver Cam Coleman were named to the list. Heading into the 2025 season, Arnold and Coleman are two of the most talked-about Auburn football players. While Coleman is returning for his sophomore season and is poised to be even more successful than during his freshman campaign, Arnold transferred from Oklahoma and represents a new way forward for the Tigers after two seasons with Payton Thorne.
