Track & Field, Cross Country. Six Tigers set to compete at IAAF World Championships

Alums Sheniqua Ferguson, Leevan Sands and Donald Thomas, along with rising junior Teray Smith will represent the Bahamas. Former Tiger Kerron Stewart will compete for Jamaica, while Welington Zaza will race for Liberia.

Ferguson, who is scheduled for the 100m and 200m, was the 2010 NCAA Indoor Champion in the 200m and a three-time SEC Champion. The Nassau native also earned eight All-America honors during her career at Auburn.

Three-time Olympian Leevan Sands is scheduled to compete in the triple jump on August 25 at 9 p.m. CT. Sands was the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Champion in the long jump and 2004 NCAA Outdoor Champion in the triple jump and holds the school record in both events.
