Track & Field, Cross Country. Carter breaks own school mark in women’s javelin

Auburn, Ala. - Auburn freshman Kylee Carter broke her own school record in the women’s javelin to win the event, highlighting the Tigers’ first day of action at the War Eagle Invitational at Hutsell-Rosen Track Friday. Carter’s fifth throw of 163-9 broke her school mark set two weeks ago at the Tiger Track Classic.

Carter, who’s throw of 159-3 broke the 13-year old javelin school record at the last home meet, was part of a Tiger sweep in the event. Junior Alyssa Kopp and freshman Peyton Montgomery were second and third, respectively, with new PRs.
