One of the things I love about Bruce Pearl is he’s not afraid to play these kind of games. There are very few schools in the Power 5 conferences that would schedule a game at UD Arena against the Dayton Flyers.
Jared Harper set the tone early knocking down back to back 3-pointers to start the game. Dayton would respond with a 15-5 run and that’s when the Auburn bench made their presence felt.
Chuma Okeke and Anfernee McLemore each had major 1st half contributions. Okeke knocked down a trio of 3-pointers over a 4 minute stretch as Auburn built a 28-19 lead with 6 minutes left in the 1st half.
