AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 5 Auburn softball team got a strong pitching performance from Kaylee Carlson and key hits from Kasey Cooper and Carlee Wallace to key a 3-1 victory against No. 21 Ole Miss. The victory clinched the series for the Tigers (33-6, 8-4 SEC) Sunday at Jane B. Moore Field.
Carlson stymied the Rebels (26-13, 3-9) all afternoon long in a complete-game effort, highlighted by six strikeouts. The junior limited the opposition to just four hits and one unearned run in her 20th victory of 2017.
