War Eagle, everybody. It’s a somber day, as I have just been informed that former Auburn center James Kiger passed away early this morning in an automobile accident. Kiger was a member of the undefeated 1993 Auburn squad, and was the starting center on the 1996 team for Dameyune Craig that went 8-4 and won the Independence Bowl. Kiger helped Craig set an Auburn total offense in a single game record that didn’t fall till Nick Marshall broke it in last season’s Iron Bowl.
Kiger chose Auburn because he said that it was always where he wanted to be.
