War Eagle, everybody! This week, we’ll preview game two for the Auburn Tiger football team. On September 12, Auburn will host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at Jordan Hare Stadium. This will be the first meeting between the two schools, and likely Auburn will be a heavy favorite. However, one can look back 5 years and remember Jax State knocking off the Ole Miss Rebels early, and ushering in two seasons of bad Rebel football.
Whenever Auburn plays an FCS opponent, the first question is whether the lower division team has a chance. Jacksonville State has had three different head coaches the past three seasons, and one might mistake them for a team in turmoil.
