“We had to look each other in the eye and tell each other that we’ve got to be more fundamentally sound if we want to be competitive in our league,”said Auburn Baseball Coach, Butch Thompson after losing to Missouri the second week of April. “We feel like we’ve matched up pretty good every SEC weekend, and we don’t have a series victory to speak of.”
Well that situation changed over the weekend as the Tigers took 2 of 3 from the Tennessee Volunteers.
Auburn (18-19) dropped the last two league series against LSU and Missouri despite winning the first game of each.
