As we progress past the fourth series of the SEC slate, Auburn’s got three series victories and one narrow defeat. It’s more the norm that the Tigers win more than they lose lately, and this weekend didn’t disappoint, with more great pitching paving the road for a 2-1 series win over Ole Miss.
In game one of the series in Oxford, the Tigers broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run sixth inning to take the opener. Alyssa Rivera’s late homer provided the margin and Auburn got the victory.
Kaylee Carlson pitched another gem and won her 15th game of the season in the process, limiting the Rebels to just six hits overall.
