AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn softball has announced 2,525 pounds of food has been donated towards the season-long Strike Out Hunger campaign after the first four home weekends of play.
The Strike Out Hunger program partners with the Food Bank of East Alabama to support senior programs, soup kitchens, low-income day cares, emergency food pantries, missions and rehabilitation centers that are served by the food bank.
When head coach Clint Myers came to The Plains three years ago, bringing his family with him was a huge draw. The Myers' family has since taken to the local community and showing that this initiative is truly family affair, Caitlin Myers, wife of assistant coach Corey Myers, has been a huge part of this effort.
