June 6, 1999. I was sitting at my kitchen table in Valdosta, GA, listen to Rod and Andy on aunetwork.com. It was a Regional Final against Tulane and if Auburn won, I got to go to the first ever Super Regional in Tallahassee, which is 45 minutes from my home town and my team would be playing there. I listened so intently and wished so badly I could be there to watch the team spill out on to the Plainsman Park diamond and celebrate a regional championship, just 2 wins away from Omaha.
