It was a great weekend for Auburn football recruiting as the Tigers added a 4-star wide receiver to their 2026 ranks. On Friday evening, Jase Mathews announced his commitment to Auburn, becoming the first wide receiver in the Tigers' class of 2026.
From Leakesville, Mississippi, Mathews is ranked as the No. 13 wide receiver in his class and the No. 6 recruit out of his home state. Mathews chose Auburn over his other finalists, which included Ole Miss, Texas A&M and LSU, but he did so after trolling the Ole Miss fans in the room as you can see in the video below.
