Each year in the offseason, Auburn football head coach Hugh Freeze prepares a theme and some lessons he will use with his team during fall camp. Ahead of this year's practices, Freeze has put a lot of emphasis on the word "expectant."
For Freeze, the term expectant refers to the attitude of the players heading into the season. After two years of work, the Tigers are finally a team that has enough talent to be truly competitive with the other top teams in college football. Being expectant is more or less about knowing that Auburn football has put in the work and they expect to do well in 2025.
