AUBURN, Ala. – Preseason accolades continue to pile up for Auburn baseball’s Casey Mize as the junior right hander was named a Preseason First Team All-American by Baseball America Monday morning.
The Preseason First Team All-American honors are the third for Mize after he already earned the recognition from Perfect Game/Rawlings and D1 Baseball earlier this month. He was also named a Preseason Second Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball in December.
Mize is coming off a season in which he led Auburn with an 8-2 record, 2.04 ERA and 109 strikeouts despite missing three starts with an injury.
