As is tradition for most SEC teams, the non-con slate for Auburn this year includes a heavy-hitter P5 team, two G5 teams, and an FCS team. This year, Auburn goes straight from a top 10 caliber Washington team to their FCS opponent, Alabama State. Led by interim-turned-head coach Donald Hill-Eley, the Hornets will travel up I-85 from Montgomery to take on the Tigers in Week 2 of the 2018 season.

2017 RECAP

The Hornets got off to a rough start in 2017, losing their first five games by a total score of 37-126. This resulted in the firing of head coach Brian Jenkins after five games, and the promotion of assistant head coach Hill-Eley to the interim job.
