Ole Miss Edges Men's Tennis

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men’s tennis played its closest match of the SEC season in a 4-3 loss to No. 35 Ole Miss Friday evening at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

Although Ole Miss took the doubles point, courts one and two were closely contested, with Ole Miss winning by just a 6-4 margin after staking a 0-3 lead over Edward Nguyen and Tad Maclean on court one, and Carles Sarrio and Matteo De Vincentis down just 5-6 on court two when that match was abandoned.

Sarrio tied the match with a 6-3, 6-2 victory in singles over Zvonimir Babic on court four, and after Ole Miss posted a win on court one, Brandon Laubser tied the match at 2-2 with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Cotter Wilson on court six.
