No. 11 Men’s Golf finishes 2nd at Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. - No. 11 Auburn men’s golf had an outstanding final round at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate, carding a 13-under 267 Tuesday at the Old Overton Club to finish second in the event as all five individuals finished in the top-20.

The Tigers’ 13-under final round is tied for the seventh-lowest in school history, tied with the 2nd and 3rd rounds at the 2006 Jerry Pate National.

“I’m really proud of the team as they showed lots of pride and heart today,” head coach Nick Clinard said. “We grew up a lot today and finally made some putts.
