It was not because of a specific run-in or disagreement with offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee, as some have suspected. The two weren’t always on the same page, but the sources said Craig made it clear that the reason he left is more about the big picture.
The move from Auburn to LSU had been rumored for days and officially was announced by LSU officials on Sunday night.
