Monday Musings From Auburn

On Saturday Kerryon Johnson became the fifth Auburn player to finish in the top 10 of the Heisman Trophy voting since 2000. The running back was ninth in this year’s voting. That’s a phenomenal accomplishment especially considering the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Year missed three games with a ham string injury and played hurt in both the Iron Bowl and the SEC Championship Game.

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield won the Heisman in a runaway vote but one has to wonder what might have been if KJ had been healthy all year. Question now is will the junior return for his senior season or turn pro after the Peach Bowl?
