Marcus Davis selected to SEC Football Leadership Council

Marcus Davis, who just completed his senior season at Auburn, will be one of 14 participants at the SEC Football Student-Athlete Leadership Council on Feb. 4 in Birmingham.

Davis, from Boynton Beach, Fla., played in 50 games for Auburn. A wide receiver, he caught 83 passes for 650 yards, scoring three touchdowns.

Davis earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn in 2016.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey introduced new Student-Athlete Leadership Councils in 2016 for the sports of football and men’s and women’s basketball in which, in addition to the conference’s longstanding Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), provide student-athletes with additional opportunities to engage with campus leaders and conference office staff.
