AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn freshman Brandon Mancheno was honored by the Southeastern Conference as the SEC Co-Freshman Golfer of the Week the league office announced Wednesday.
This is the second SEC Freshman of the Week honor for Mancheno this season. He previously earned the distinction following his last outing at the Tiger Invitational in which he tied for 11th at 3-under 213.
Mancheno, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., led the sixth-ranked Tigers as they captured their third straight victory of the season at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational in Ponta Vedra, Fla.
Mancheno fired a 7-under 209 with rounds of 72-70-67.
