AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn men’s golf freshman Brandon Mancheno has been named the 2017 FSGA Junior Player of the Year. It is the second time in three years the Jacksonville, Fla. native has won the prestigious award, previously winning in 2015.
Mancheno had an outstanding season, earning medalist honors at the US Junior and finishing runner-up at the FSGA Amateur Championship. He also advanced to match play at the US Amateur Championships and was part of the gold medal-winning USA Team at the Toyota Junior World Cup in Japan.
Mancheno has impressed on the collegiate level as well this season.
