AUBURN, Ala. - Madeline Meredith has been named SEC Freshman of the Week for her stellar performance at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic last weekend.
Meredith has gotten off to a great start in her freshman spring campaign, posting an 11-1 singles record and a 9-3 doubles record. The Birmingham, Ala., native was perfect over the weekend, maintaining composure in each match, whether she dominated or came from behind to win.
Meredith is now on a six-game winning streak in singles and a four-game winning streak in doubles. The freshman sparked the Tigers to victory by claiming the first singles point of the match against Denver with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Arisha Ladhani and Alabama with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Jacqueline Pelletier.
