AUBURN, Ala. – Kirby Smart can’t see Georgia forgetting its 40-17 loss at Auburn on November 11, when the Bulldogs were the top team in the College Football Playoff poll.

“Well, I think the biggest thing is just being honest,” Smart said during Sunday’s SEC championship coaches call. “I mean, you don’t shake a memory.”

More like a nightmare.

Auburn ran for 237 yards, Jarrett Stidham accounted for four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) and its defense sacked freshman Jake Fromm four times in limiting the Bulldogs to 46 rushing yards.

Georgia has a chance to avenge that defeat in Saturday’s SEC championship game in Atlanta and shake off that memory – or nightmare.
