ORLANDO, Fla. - The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics honored Auburn's Jay Jacobs as a NACDA/Under Armour Athletics Director of the Year Tuesday at the NACDA Convention.
NACDA created the award program, now in its 19thyear, to honor intercollegiate directors of athletics for their commitment and administrative excellence.
Jacobs, Auburn's Director of Athletics since 2004, was selected from NACDA's largest candidate pool in the past five years.
"This award is a credit to the entire university, the Auburn Athletics Department staff, our coaches and our student-athletes," Jacobs said.
"As a former college football player, I love college athletics.
