Robert Woodyard Jr. had seemingly stripped the ball from Ball State's ball carrier, taking the ball straight from his hands and going down with full possession.
Unfortunately for Auburn, the play had been prematurely whistled dead for forward progress. Hugh Freeze didn't take kindly to that fact, quickly getting on the referees for what he saw as a bad call. In fact, the Auburn head coach was so angry, he called a timeout to let the crew calling the game know exactly how mad he was.
The competition got the best of Freeze at one moment, as he called out the line judge who happened to be in his first year refereeing SEC games.
