Here we go! The day of the SEC Championship always dawns a little weirdly, and this year will be no different. Instead of having the usual games to wake up to and watch as the day begins, you’ve only got a couple. Today it’s the MAC/AAC/Big 12 Championship Games, and they’ll provide a poor backdrop for the nerves and excitement that’ll be entangling the Atlanta area as Auburn and Georgia get set for round two.
It’s also different since the game is still on CBS, but a half-hour later, and probably even longer than normal. Last week’s Iron Bowl broadcast was actually shorter than I expected, due to the fact that there weren’t a ton of incomplete passes and unnecessary stoppages.
